12th October 1971 was the first day of ceremony as His Imperial Majesty, Aryamer, King of Kings Mohammad Reza Pahlavi with Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Farah Pahlavi, paid homage to King of Kings Cyrus the Great's mausoleum at Pasarguard.
For next two days dignitaries and heads of state of other nations began to arrive at Shiraz's airport and were greeted with honour and respect by His Imperial Majesty, King of King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi or Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Farah Pahlavi and were guided to the ancient land of Persepolis.
