Florida-based reggae producer, Nicko Rebel, is still churning out great music. His label, Nicko Rebel Music, which earlier this year scored a feature on iTunes famed ‘new and noteworthy’ list, is announcing the debut of the music video for the song My Queen which was recorded on the label’s She’s My Heart one-drop riddim. The song features an upcoming singer, rapper and songwriter Alexander Star.

This is the second video to be released featuring a track on the riddim, the first being the well-received Collide by Toi.

Alexander Star, who’s dancehall flavored rap and R&B music has been making waves in European markets such as the UK, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Switzerland, says that the video was an exciting project to work on.

“This song is a really special song for me, and it was very exciting to work with the Nicko Rebel team in producing both the song and the video. One of the things that’s very important to me as an artist is that I work with people who recognize my talent for what it is and help me to do the best at making music lovers recognize the talent as well,” Star said.

The video was produced by Team Willo Productions and directed by Winston Wilkins. Known for his editing skills throughout the Caribbean Team Willo Productions is one of the most talented director/editors in the industry today.

For his part, Nicko Rebel Music producer Nicholas Davis said that he was very picky about the artistes he wanted to work with on this riddim because it was his “very first one drop”.

“This was the first one drop riddim I produced and I had to make sure that the talent we put behind the microphone could do the riddim justice and put out great music, and Alexander Star has done that with My Queen,” Davis said.

She’s My Heart also features the likes of Voicemail, Delly Ranx, Lutan Fyah, Teflon and Pressure Buss Pipe. Teflon’s track, Fight The Yutes was featured on Czech Republic reggae charts, staying at #1 for some seven weeks.
